Our Story
In 2024, Brady and I left the Texas Hill Country and moved back to Brady’s hometown of Abilene, not far from where I grew up too. We bought a 10-acre property and started Ivy Road Farm, a small boutique flower operation built around a self-serve stand we call Sunny, just off FM 1750. By early 2025, my parents had joined us, and what started as a dream between the two of us has grown into a full family effort.
Why flowers
For about twelve years I searched for a sense of belonging. In 2021, some serious health struggles on top of a long battle with ulcerative colitis brought me to a really low point. In the middle of that, I kept picturing wide open fields of flowers, and that image carried me through recovery in a way I still can’t fully explain.
After years of property searches that never quite worked out, we found our land in Abilene almost by accident, while just visiting in early 2024. We’d just finished renovating our old house, and moving made no logical sense. We did it anyway, because it felt right.
The restlessness that kept me searching for so long has finally settled. I wanted to share where that journey led us, and a little hope for anyone still looking for their own patch of ground.
